I already have a doctor; why do I need counseling?
Medical doctors are there to help you fix what's "broken." They often don't have the time to address all of your questions, or help you with your feelings.
Counseling will help you work through the emotional aspects of your experience if you are dealing with PCOS, infertility, or other chronic health issues, while your doctor takes good care of your body.
How long are counseling sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes long. 90-minute sessions are also available, and often work well for couples.
How often do we meet?
Most of the time, we'll meet once a week, but more frequent sessions can also be arranged, if desired, or when necessitated by your situation.
When will I start to feel better?
Therapy works best when you view it as a process - sometimes it moves quickly, and sometimes it takes a little longer. Most of the time, just calling to schedule your first appointment will make you feel hopeful that things will get better.
